Marnie Wakes is a literary performance piece that offers a selection of 32 monologues to be performed in part and at random. These 'memory loops' recount the life of a woman, Marnie, between visits from her family.
While in my artist residency at St. Andrews, I had the good fortune of connecting with the creator: mixed-media storyteller Simon Meek. We were collaborating on a production of his piece, Marnie Wakes, which was sadly interrupted by the pandemic.
